The Wonderul Finds at Trader Joe's

My adventure that will lead you to your own

Coffee at its Best: The Peaberry

Image

Trader Joe’s Limited Edition Peaberry from Brazil is a coffee worth the grind.

The Limited Edition Peaberry coffees are a rare sighting at Trader Joe’s. They appear for short periods of time through the year from different regions of the world but never last on the shelves for more than a few weeks.

What makes the coffee unique is the rarity of the peaberry beans, which are only found in about 5 percent of coffee crop.

A coffee cherry produces two beans, but on the rare occasion it produces one oval bean called a peaberry. Regular coffee beans are flat on one side. People argue the peaberry is more flavorful because its oval shape is roasted more evenly.

The peaberry is known for its concentration of robust flavor and its medium-roast, balanced body.

The 14 oz. canister of Arabica whole beans is available for a short time at $6.99.

Next week, I will share another one of my wonderful finds. Until then, go on ahead to TJ’s, and let your adventure begin.
